Doctors of the World/Médecins du Monde announced this week that Dr. Françoise Sivignon has been elected as president of MdM France. Dr. Sivignon, a radiologist, began her work with MdM in 2002 as a volunteer. She headed up the MdM program in Burma, then served as a member of the MdM France board of directors from 2005–2008 while leading the MdM Dutch delegation. In 2012, she assumed the position of vice president of MdM France overseeing international programs.
“We are thrilled by Dr. Sivignon’s appointment as president of Doctors of the World France,” said Miranda Sissons, Doctors of the World USA executive director. “Dr. Sivignon’s history with MdM shows a strong commitment to bringing medical care to the most vulnerable. We look forward to creating lasting impact around the globe.”
