Today’s crises are complex and interconnected
Conflict forces families from their homes. Climate change fuels hunger, disease, and displacement. Inequality heightens health risks, especially for women and girls, pushing already fragile systems to the brink.
Each crisis compounds the others, demanding responses that go beyond the immediate need. Doctors of the World provides urgent care while also building resilience for the future. Through this integrated approach, we strengthen health, uphold dignity, and defend rights across five interconnected focus areas.
OUR WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
In the United States, we extend this mission to reach people excluded from traditional health systems. Our Border Health Program provides care for migrants, asylum seekers, and mixed-status families, while also training local providers to better serve these populations. By strengthening care and building capacity, we defend the right to health at home as well as abroad.
