COVID-19

In Switzerland, we support the national health system through raising awareness and training medical personnel

MDM has implemented various activities, by capitalizing on its technical expertise in primary health and mental health and on its long experience of close collaboration with communities and local and national health authorities. These activities are adjusted according to needs expressed by the national authorities, and include:

MDM Switzerland promotes awareness and prevention within communities, through the organization of awareness sessions with our own staff and all our partners; in educational establishments with students and staff; with beneficiaries during home visits; awareness, training and support for community relays; installation of water points in schools; establishment of water points in neighborhoods; distribution of hygiene kits; and production and dissemination of awareness messages (paper and audio).

MDM supports health structures, through awareness and training of medical personnel; awareness and training of non-medical personnel; provision of health facilities with technical expertise in monitoring infections; provision of medical personnel to ministries; supply of protective equipment to health structures; and installation of water points in health structures.

MDM Switzerland provides mental health support and care for front-line staff and population, through capacity building of a mental health hotline (free, national and anonymous); training of psychosocial staff; and the offer of individual psycho-social support.

Thank you for standing with us as we fight for health access and justice for all.
